Hi. I've got the latest updated Trisquel installed on a refurb PC that I bought for Linux, and the wired headphones that I use, plugged directly into the headphone jack, do not work. Has anyone else experienced this issue and have a solution?

Thanks for any advice!

I would suggest checking the configuration in alsamixer. Check which card has your headphones by pressing F6 to select the card, press F3 to see all playback devices. There should be an item for "Headphones" under your card. Make sure headphones and master are not set on mute.

Is that a laptop with loudspeakers? If so do they work? What CPU does the PC have?

It's a desktop, CORE i5.

I am not sure which CPU that is. Can you attach the output of "sudo lshw"?

I tried alsamixer, but F3 doesn't seem to do anything.
